Originally from the Adirondack mountains in upstate New York, Mary began her career as a photojournalist, where she learned how to use light and composition to tell stories. After working in the photo industry for five years, she wanted to evolve her storytelling capabilities by experimenting with video production and multimedia journalism.
She received a Masters’s Degree from the U.C. Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism in 2018 and a BFA in Photography and the Digital Image from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2011.
She is currently working as video editor for Bloomberg Opinion. Her work has been published by The Atlantic, Politico, The New York Times, WIRED, CNN, The Recount, KQED, The Establishment, and Advertising Age.
